Chazity + Rocky {wedding} Sneak Peek, Sundara

Chazity and Rocky were married last Saturday in a field at the foot of the mountains, at historic Sundara, in Boones Mill, VA.  The sun was setting during their ceremony and the light was so beautiful.  Chazity and Rocky were going for a shabby chic, vintage look to their wedding, complete with all of the girls in cowboys boots.  Loved it!!!  And let me tell you that their wide array of food and assortment of pies was unbelievable!  Also, there was this lady that walked into the reception, wearing this “loud” hat, and started to mingle with the guests, while doing her “work” – she was a caricature artist, and a very good one at that.  How fun and quite the crowd-pleaser!

Jessica + Fady {wedding} Sneak Peek, Bluemont Vineyard

Jessica and Fady’s was the first of our two weddings last weekend.  Though we didn’t have the chance to meet in person before their wedding, I knew that we would love working with them.  Jessica said, “I adore the artistic flair of RubySky – perfect!”  Yes, perfect, our kind of couple! :)  There are so many pretty vineyards in Virginia and it’s always fun to photograph at ones that we’ve never been to before.  Bluemont Vineyard is set high up on a mountainside with beautiful views and it was the perfect location for Jessica and Fady’s lovely DIY wedding.  What a gorgeous couple and we absolutely loved Jessica’s dress; she was stunning!!!   And while I won’t share any dancing photos yet, oh my, what a fun group of people!

Jessica - Oh, Keesha! I’m in love with the photographs – they are absolutely stunning! I knew from the beginning you were the perfect photographer for us! You and Katie did an amazing job and were a pleasure to work with on our big day. Thank you so much for the sneak peek – I can’t wait for more!!!! :) xo Jessica

Amy + Chad {wedding} Sneak Peek

We couldn’t wait to see the location of Amy and Chad’s wedding on the first day of October!  Their ceremony and reception took place on the historical property of Chad’s family.  It really was a beautiful day, but just a bit chilly on the waterfront (people would run out to the pavilion to dance for a few songs and then run back to the warmth of the tent!).  We loved all of their decorations the many fun DIY ideas, and of course, all of the tasty treats!  And Amy and Chad are just about the sweetest couple that you will ever meet!  Enjoy a small glimpse of their day….

Amy and Chad, we so enjoyed working with you!  We hope that you had a wonderful honeymoon in Savannah and hopefully the weather was a little warmer!

Meredith + Joe {wedding} Sneak Peek, North Carolina

Meredith and Joe’s wedding was the last of our crazy three-wedding week at the end of September.  We got home around 12:30 a.m. on Friday night from Chantilly, VA, and then were on our way to North Carolina only 8 hours later for Saturday’s wedding.  Crazy, indeed.

It was a perfect fall day for Meredith and Joe’s wedding!  The ceremony was at a church and then the reception was on the property of Meredith’s parents’ home.  The surroundings were just beautiful and I loved all of the pine trees in the area.  Also, the reception decor and lighting were gorgeous!  Meredith’s friend, James, is the Creative Director for an independent magazine in New York City and he turned their day into an exquisite editorial fashion styled wedding.  And Meredith was simply stunning!

Christin + Josh {wedding} Sneak Peek, Sunset Crest Manor

If you missed Christin and Josh’s gorgeous sunshine-filled engagement session posted yesterday on the blog, go check it out first.  And now that you’re back, here’s a sneak peek of their wedding.  The skies were looking a bit ominous as we were driving to Northern Virginia for their wedding and sure enough, it started to rain and continued until the cocktail hour.  However, we were told that when Christin’s mom prays, things happen, and sure enough, the rain stopped for the entire reception. :)  We loved both of their fun-loving Irish families!  And Christin’s dress….it was beautiful.  To cut a long story short, she got it one week before her wedding, customized just for her!

Christin and Josh, we hope that you had a fun honeymoon in Antigua!
