Kameron + Rich {wedding} Boar’s Head Inn, Charlottesville – Part 1

Kameron and Rich’s wedding took place on a lovely September afternoon last fall by the lake at the Boar’s Head Inn.  We were absolutely in love with everything about Kameron and Rich’s wedding!  It was so beautiful – the location, the decorations, the people, the DRESS!….everything was perfect!  Now Charlottesville is certainly not a destination location for us, it’s just down the road, but it was for Kameron and Rich.  They live in Florida!  And they certainly brought all of Florida’s warmth and sunshine with them.

Can I tell you again how beautiful everything was? :)  Here are some of our favorites from the day….I definitely had a difficult time narrowing them down to just a few, so this is only Part 1.  Come back tomorrow for Part 2!

The decorations.  Kameron hand-made all of them, even the programs!

We absolutely adore when couples choose to see each other before the ceremony for a “First Look”.

The moments are priceless….

Isn’t she just stunningly gorgeous?

And this one also makes me laugh – that would be the officiant looking on.

And so the ceremony is about to begin….to be continued tomorrow in Part 2!

Tiara + Billy {engagement}

I met Tiara last fall and when we were discussing her and Billy’s engagement session and wedding, she said that they were willing to do whatever to get great shots!  Well, that’s just what we like to hear….

And of course, on the day of their engagement session last month (we already had to reschedule once because of bad weather), it just so happened to be absolutely freezing outside!  I’m talking winter coats, hats and gloves kind of temperatures….but you would never know that from looking at their pictures.  (I was bundled up enough for everyone!)  Tiara and Billy were so sweet and tender with each other.  It was completely obvious that Billy simply adores Tiara.  And look at her….she is stunningly gorgeous!

We started off in one of my favorite local towns to photograph.

We had no idea who owns this car, but we loved it!  Don’t worry, we didn’t touch it or leave any fingerprints. :)

This is one of my favorites of the two of them.

Did I mention how cold it was?  Tiara, you’re so awesome for braving the weather! :)

13

14

We finished up their session at a barn where Billy spends a lot of his time training horses.

15

16

Tiara and Billy are both teachers – it’s where they met.  But I really think that Tiara could have been a model!

17

18

And we can’t forget the ring and horseshoe….

Tiara and Billy, we can’t wait for your July wedding at Cross Keys Vineyard!  The details that you have planned so far sound amazing!

Tiara - Thank you, Keesha. We absolutely love the photos and it makes it a lot easier when we have someone so wonderful to work with. You did such an awesome job. I cannot wait to take the wedding pictures!

Stuart {2010 senior}

Okay, so we need a little variety here….It’s about time to share some pictures from a guy’s senior session!  And what a grand introduction, I could not have asked for a better afternoon!  It went perfectly and was lots of fun.  We started off Stuart’s session with some photos in their neighbor’s backyard and then we proceeded to town for some urban shots.

I must jump ahead and start with my favorite image from the day!  Stuart recently got his motorcycle license and he wanted some pictures with his bike.  Very nice.

A few formal pictures for the family….

….And then came the fun!!!  This is Parkour.  I admit that I had to look it up, as I had never heard of it.  I found the official definition to be:  Parkour is the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one’s path by adapting one’s movements to the environment.  Very interesting.  And in case you were wondering….yes, he did just run up the trunk of that tree and do a back flip.  At least 7 times.  No one was harmed in the taking of these pictures. :)

Gotta love old rundown buildings.

This location had so many interesting textures and lines.

I’m pretty sure that Stuart found his life’s calling during his session – modeling.  Just kidding, but he was such a natural and completely immersed himself in the process!  He even contributed some of his own ideas.  It was great!

This is just a small glimpse of Stuart’s life.  I must say that it is always such a joy to be able to document this pivotal time in the lives of high school seniors.  The possibilities ahead of them are limitless!
